A teacher was hospitalized after a 6-year-old student shot a gun in the US state of Virginia. Zwana, a 25-year-old teacher, was shot in the chest in her classroom earlier this month.

The student who was shot was disabled and used to attend school with only one parent. On the day of the incident, he went to school alone without his parents and brought the gun his mother bought him.
After this incident, the school board voted to fire the district superintendent. The vice principal also resigned. Last week, Mrs. Suana was able to be discharged from the hospital. Police have not filed any charges in connection with the shooting. Mrs. Suana’s lawyer is trying to file charges.
