It is known that it will be colder in some parts of Myanmar. Those cold regions such as Chin State, According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, the freezing point in Shan State and some regions is below minus degrees, and the temperature may decrease and become colder.

In Hakha, the capital of Chin State, which is in the coldest state, the night temperature is below the freezing point of minus -6 degrees Celsius, which is lower than normal. As for the coldest places in Myanmar, apart from Hakha in Chin State, Titin City also has a temperature of 2 degrees.

In Shan State, the temperature in Namsan and Myyang cities is 1 degree Celsius, while the temperature in Pyong U Lwin city in Pyong Oo Lwin, Heho Ne, Mandalay Division is only 3 degrees Celsius at night, according to the weather report on the afternoon of January 17th.

In Yangon, the night temperature is 3 degrees lower than the average temperature, while in Tanintharyi. In Rakhine State and Nay Pyi Taw, the average temperature has decreased by 2 degrees below the average temperature, and except for the cold areas, the rest of the provinces and regions are said to remain the same as the average temperature of January.

The Meteorological Department’s forecast for the next 2 days, January 18th and 19th, is that the night temperatures in Kachin State, Sagaing Division, and the northern areas of Shan State may be slightly lower and colder than now.
